Profile of Classical Studies in Athens:

The main focus in the Faculty of History and Archaeology lies on Greek, in particular Hellenistic, history and Greek epigraphics and numismatics, the history of Eastern Greece in the Roman period and late antiquity. The faculty maintains excellent relationships internally (besides the Faculty of Philology, also part of the School of Philosophy, there is also the specialty History of Ancient Law in the Faculty of Law), and externally with other institutions for Classical Studies, such as the Kentron Ellinikis kai Romaikis Archaiotitos (KERA) of the Greek National Research Institute.
